Pleurisy
Definition:
Inflammation of the pleura (membrane covering the lungs).
Symptoms:
Usually accompanied by fever, painful and difficult respiration, cough, and mucoid exudation into the pleural cavity.
Cause:
The cause of pleurisy is mucus forming in a weak area caused by the failure to breath deeply. It is common where there is general debility of the body, especially in the lung area.
